8 Best Landing Page Software Ranked & Reviewed (2023 List)

The complete list of the best landing page software on the market

In this post I’m going to show you 8 awesome landing page software tools to help you build better landing pages (fast).

I probably don’t need to tell you this but a good landing page has the potential to transform your business…

Since they encourage visitors to take action, resulting in you capturing more leads, growing your lists, and ultimately generating more sales.

Even though this is great, the fact is that a large portion of businesses struggle with creating efficient landing pages.

With approximately 30% of landing pages containing too much copy, and only 50% of the landing pages built are optimized for mobile devices.

But studies also show that a well built and well targeted landing page can increase conversions by up to 300%!

Therefore, today I’m going to compare, rank, and review 8 of the best landing page software on the market, based on:

  • Features
  • Pricing
  • integrations
  • Ease-of-use
  • And much more.

So you’ll have an easier time finding the best solution for you.

Let’s dive right in…

What Is The Best Landing Page Software?

Here are my top pick for the best lending page software this year.

1. Leadpages

Great alternative if you have a small to medium sized business

Leadpages landing page builder homepage

Leadpages is a perfect alternative if you want to get online and grow.

Why?

Firstly, they’ve been in the landing page creation and lead generation game for a long time. So long in fact that they are industry leaders at it, and that got to stand for something.

Secondly, their team built Leadpages using the same tools they’re offering you.

With so many years in the game and since they’re using their own software, they’ve developed systems that make it easy for you to create pages that are optimized for conversions…

So you can tap into your hard-earned web traffic and feel confident that you have what you need to transform your visitors into qualified leads and ultimately loyal customers.

With Leadpages you get access to tools that allows you to easily build websites, landing pages, alert bars, pop-ups, and much more.

Essentially giving you everything you need to get online and connect with your audience.

Their ultimate end goal is to help you, the entrepreneur, to eliminate the high cost of web developers by giving you the “keys to the Lamborghini”.

Leadpages is best suited for small to medium sized businesses who want to expand their customers base, grow their email lists, and evolve their online presence using websites and landing pages.

Key features:

  • Built-in conversion guidance: Get access to exclusive technology that predicts your page’s performance before you even publish it. But that’s not all, it’ll also tell you what to tweak, so you can spend less time guessing and more time growing.
  • Unlimited page publishing: Create dedicated landing pages for each and every traffic source or campaign without fear of reaching publishing limits or “bandwidth exceeded” error messages.
  • Unparalleled page load speed: Leadpages pages load 2.4 seconds faster and have a performance score 30% higher than other leading page builders on the market. This helps you win more conversions, customers, sales, and a higher PPC ad quality score.
  • Unlimited lead collection and traffic: Unlike most other landing page software, Leadpages never charge you more for your success. So no more limits on web visitors or lead collection.
  • Lead magnet hosting and delivery: Instantly send subscribers your digital products with the built-in lead magnet delivery system.

Best Feature: Unlimited landing pages

The sky’s the limit, literally…

No matter what plan you choose, you can publish as many landing pages as you want. Meaning that there is room to try every idea you can think of.

Also, your plan will include free hosting for at least one site on a Leadpages domain.

And if you get on an annual plan, no matter what level, you get one year of free custom domain registration.

Pricing:

Leadpages pricing table
  • Promotion: Free 14-day trial
  • Annual discount: Yes – Save up to $300/year
  • Standard plan: $49/month or $37/month (billed annually)
  • Pro plan: $99/month or $74/month (billed annually)
  • Leadpages Advanced Plan: On request

What I like and dislike with Leadpages

Like:

  • Unlimited traffic, leads and pages no matter what plan you choose.
  • Free hosting of your pages on a Leadpages domain.
  • Over 40 integrations as standard, including WordPress, Google Analytics and more.
  • Fully customizable and mobile responsive templates.
  • GDPR compliant.
  • SEO capabilities.

Dislike:

  • Custom domains are only available on annual plans (although a downside, it’s understandable why they do it like this).
  • Not the best platform for e-Commerce or catalog brands with dozens of products.
  • Can’t process sales and payments on the ‘Standard’ plan
  • Unlimited A/B split testing is only available on the ‘Pro’ plan.
  • Advanced integration is only unlocked in the Advanced plan – and pricing for that is on request, so it’s expected to be somewhat expensive.

2. ActiveCampaign

A powerful marketing automation and CRM tool for businesses of all sizes

ActiveCampaign CRM software homepage

ActiveCampaign is a marketing automation and CRM platform, NOT just a landing page software.

So now, instead of just building landing pages, you can do so much, much more…

Start with some personalized email marketing, by crafting email newsletters, campaigns and promotions that really resonate with your customers.

Then you can automate your work to free up important time.

By using their automation features you can set up automated email sequences that fires on point every time. You can also segment contacts, or use simple automation workflows to save time and money on mundane tasks.

And as soon as you start selling you have sales automations to help you sell more.

Their CRM allows you to manage multiple pipelines, update deals, and always follow up at the perfect moment. And in the background it keeps all your customer data organized and easy to access.

But we all know that there is more to a business than just raw sales…

Talking to and nurturing prospects and existing customers is equally as important.

With ActiveCampaign you can create meaningful connections with your customers. Answering questions, recommend products, offer sales, or ask for feedback at the exact moment they’re the most engaged.

And lastly, spending more time on the qualified leads will lead to more sales, if nurtured right…

Their sales engagement automation uses customer data from every sales and marketing touchpoint to know the right time and channel to automate unique and timely messages.

It also determines when you need to step in with a bit of human touch to close sales.

As you can see, ActiveCampaign is far more than just a landing page builder.

Key features:

  • CRM: Automate contact management, score leads, monitor deals and pipeline, and track tasks. Everything you need to keep your entire sales process moving smoothly.
  • Integrated and embedded forms: Drive more leads using custom forms. Use forms to seamlessly connect and start your automations.
  • Pre-built automations: Tons of pre-built automation “recipes” available at your fingertips. All designed to save you time so you can focus on growing your business.
  • Landing pages: Create landing pages (from scratch or with templates) to capture more leads, grow your lists, drive sales and engage with your audience.
  • Gmail and Outlook inbox extension: Email inbox extensions allow you to easily see CRM info from your inbox, add new contact info, edit contact records, and more.
  • Advanced marketing and sales reporting: Know what’s going on inside your automations and landing pages with ease. Access custom reporting for email engagement, automation completions, sales pipeline performance, and more.
  • Free help courses and support: Running a business isn’t easy, ActiveCampaign knows that. This is why they provide you with free help courses, videos, and documentation to assist you every step of the way.

Best Feature: The automation features

I used to be an automation engineer before I became a full time blogger, so naturally I love to automate things (could also be because I’m lazy).

So what can ActiveCampaign automate?

How about a shopping cart automation.

ActiveCampaign automation feature

You can also track contact engagement with tags, custom fields, analytics, and performance reporting. Pull info from every offline and digital channel (social media, live chat, landing pages, text messaging, and everywhere else) to automate the marketing you don’t have time for.

Even the mundane, manual tasks that eat precious time can be automated.

With the use of sales automation CRM you can automate contact management, score leads, monitor deals and pipelines, and track tasks.

In short, ActiveCampaign got your back with their automations, and thanks to them, your entire sales process will keep on running smoothly

Even when you’re not looking.

Pricing:

ActiveCampaign pricing plans

All prices are based on plans with 1,000 contacts.

  • Promotion: Free 14-day trial
  • Annual discount: Yes – Save up to $38/month
  • Lite plan: $39/month or $29/month (billed annually)
  • Plus plan: $70/month or $49/month (billed annually)
  • Professional plan: $187/month or $149/month (billed annually)
  • Enterprise plan: Pricing on request

What I like and dislike with ActiveCampaign

Like:

  • Over 500 pre-built automations “recipes”.
  • Connect the tools that fit your business, there are 870+ apps to choose from.
  • Cheap to get started with, and even the ‘Lite’ plan can take you very far.
  • Free online training
  • You only pay for marketable contacts. If a contact unsubscribes but is still on your list, you don’t pay for it.
  • Free migration
  • You can pause your billing for up to twelve months without risk of price changes or data loss.

Dislike:

  • Landing pages are only available once you get on the ‘Plus’ plan.
  • Custom branding also requires at least the ‘Plus’ plan.
  • I would like to see some upgrades to the WordPress plugin. Being able to change the conditions when pop-ups appear would be nice.
  • Can only be up to 10 users and that’s on the ‘Enterprise’ plan. Can you have more users? Probably, but you’d have to get in touch with the team the discuss it.

3. Elementor

The industry leading WordPress-based web creation platform

Elementor website builder homepage

Elementor is probably the most used page builder for WordPress out there, it has actually been ranked as the no.1 website platform for WordPress.

And with over 10 million active installs they’re powering more than 7% of the internet.

So chances are that if you’ve been using WordPress for a while, you’ve come into contact with Elementor once or even twice.

I know that I have, because I’m using it right now.

With Elementor you get more than just a landing page builder, you get an all-in-one platform to build and grow your business online.

This means that you get access to 140 or so features to help you create everything from simple opt-in forms to entire websites.

Their mission is to provide you with all the tools you need to build your website, your business, and your future.

Since it’s rooted in the open source world of WordPress, and is community-driven by design, Elementor is more than just a visual page editor…

It’s a platform for growth, success and long term sustainability.

Key features:

  • Live drag and drop editor: Their industry-leading drag and drop live editor lets you create landing pages in a complete visual canvas, without writing a single line of code.
  • Workflow tools: Build unlimited landing pages and easily manage them all in one single platform. No more “need to add another plugin” to get the job done.
  • Built to scale: Save the page blocks and components you’ve created. Then use them to speed up your landing page creation process in your next project..
  • Turn clicks into customers: Add custom forms to your landing pages with ease. Collect leads, grow your email lists, register participants for events, and more. Do what you need to grow your business.
  • Integrate your marketing and CRM tools: Seamlessly integrate marketing and CRM tools, like ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, or GetResponse, and engage with your customers on all fronts.
  • Optimization and analytics: Connect with your favorite analytics and optimization tools, such as Google Analytics, Optimizely, and many more more. When you know your visitors’ behavior, you can use the data you collect to optimize for increased conversions and ROI.
  • Dynamic layout: Power your landing pages and boost conversions with personalized experiences. Now you can use dynamic layouts to target visitors with relevant, fully personalized content.
  • SEO and speed: Reduce your bounce rates and provide your visitors with the best possible experience on your landing pages. Also, no more visitors leaving because of slow site speed, this platform is built with speed and performance in mind.

Best Feature: The price

Okay, I’m not going to lie, Elementor has tons of great features that really can revolutionize how you build and manage both landing pages and entire websites.

This is why I think the price of the software is one of its best features.

You get a lot of bang for the buck.

Elementor starts at $49/year…a year!

That’s $4.08/month to get access to all the pro features, not just landing pages!

Which means that you can start building landing pages inside WordPress for the same price as a cup of Starbucks coffee.

You can even build landing pages for free if you install the Elementor plugin to your WordPress site. Sure you’d be limited on templates, but it’ll get you started.

Think about it…

Most other landing page software starts at $10-$20/month, and that is just for a landing page builder most of the time.

Pricing:

Elementor pricing plan table

Website builder + hosting:

  • Elementor could website: $99/year

Only website builder:

  • Promotion: 30-day money back guarantee and free WordPress plugin.
  • Annual discount: No
  • Essential plan: 1 pro website activation for $49/year
  • Expert plan: 25 pro website activation for $199/year
  • Studio plan: 100 pro website activation for $299 first year, then $499/year
  • Agency plan: 1000 pro website activation for $999/year

What I like and dislike with Elementor

Like:

  • You can get started building pages with the free WordPress plugin, even though it’s quite restrictive (but there are plugins to solve that, like Essential Addons).
  • You can choose to use it as a WordPress tool or you can get it as a complete, cloud-based solution with the web builder and hosting included.
  • Wide range of use, it’s not just a landing page builder.
  • Good documentation for the features (trust me, you’ll need to visit the help section once or twice if you use this software).
  • Lots of templates for all kinds of niches and needs.

Dislike:

  • The editor and its menus take a bit of time to learn, especially if you’ve been working with some other page builder before.
  • A lot of features means that the learning curve can get steep (but there’s a good help section to ease the pain).
  • No built in marketing feature, which means that you’ll need to integrate an email marketing tool to store your leads.

4. ClickFunnels

A powerhouse if you want to build landing pages (funnels) and sell your own products

ClickFunnels homepage

ClickFunnels, realeased to the public in 2014, and today almost everyone you talk to has heard about it.

That’s the impact ClickFunnels has had on the funnel building and landing page software market.

And in just three short years the business grew from $0 to $100 million. All while using their own software.

So yes, not only did they build it, they also put it to the test and saw real success with it too.

But, what is it…?

ClickFunnels is not just a sales funnel builder and it’s not just a landing page builder, it’s an all-in-one business solution.

This can make it sound like it’s only suited for big businesses, but the fact is that they have users varying from tiny solopreneurs to massive corporations.

The entire goal with ClickFunnels was to enable people like you and me to build beautiful, high converting sales funnels and landing pages in hours, not days.

Helping you to transform your marketing game and convert more of your visitors into leads…

And when you’re ready to sell, you’re only a few clicks away from adding order forms, order bumps, OTO:s, and downsells to increase your revenue.

All of this without having to write a single line of code, hire expensive copywriters, or relying on a tech team.

Delivering on these goals has really put ClickFunnels on the map, and now they have over 100,000 users and have processed $14.6 billion to date.

Hence why this platform is such a powerhouse.

Check out my full ClickFunnels review.

Key features:

  • Complete customization: Everything is 100% customizable to your liking right from the get-go.
  • Add and manage your products: Manage your products with ease thanks to an intuitive set up system.
  • Visual stats charts: Every funnel has its own stats chart that keeps track of things like: visits, opt-ins, conversion rates, sales rates, and more.
  • Autoresponder: The built-in autoresponder called ‘Follow-up Funnels’ allows you to create lists, build automations, send broadcasts, and more.
  • Smart shopping cart: This Includes order forms, 2-step order forms, order confirmations, 1-click upsells and downsells (OTO:s), and order bumps.
  • A/B split testing: Test, tweak and optimize your funnels and landing pages to get the highest conversion rates. This feature is available in every plan, so it’s with you from the start.
  • Create membership sites: Create members areas with ease and host all your training material and subscription content right on the platform. No need to integrate with 3rd-party apps to create a membership site.
  • Affiliate management: Create and manage your own affiliate programs to boost your product sales and brand recognition.

Best Feature: FunnelFlix

ClickFunnels has a lot of really good features when it comes to building and managing sales funnels and landing pages…

And sure I could have picked one of those, but…

One thing that makes ClickFunnels stand out in my eyes is the FunnelFlix education area.

ClickFunnels education center is called FunnelFlix

Here you get access to hours and hours of courses, training, and inspiration all related to online business, money management, and success.

In fact there are entire courses available inside this area, courses that normally would cost you thousands of dollars to buy (if you were to buy them all).

This includes complete courses on funnel building, marketing, traffic, sales, and more.

Here are some examples:

  • One Funnel Away Challenge
  • The Machine
  • Funnel Builder Secrets
  • 5-day lead challenge
  • Tony Robbins Private collection
  • The Warrior’s Way Doctrine

And many, many more…

To me this was worth tons, since I come from a background knowing very little about running your own business.

And I’ve spent many hours here learning business, while also saving money not having to buy everything on my own.

That’s why FunnelFlix is such an awesome feature.

Pricing:

The costs of ClickFunnels subscription plans
  • Promotion: Free 14-day trial
  • Annual discount: Yes – 12 months for the price of 10
  • Standard plan: $97/month or $80/month (billed annually)
  • Platinum plan: $297/month or $247/month (billed annually)
  • 2CCX plan: On request

What I like and dislike with ClickFunnels

Like:

  • Simple drag ‘n drop editor that only takes minutes to learn.
  • Allows you to quickly build sales funnels and landing pages that convert.
  • Over 100 free templates available no matter what plan you choose.
  • Integrates with most popular 3rd-party apps by default including Zapier which gives you unlimited integration possibilities.
  • Everything is easily accessible from one dashboard.
  • Great education in the FunnelFlix area. Even some paid courses like ‘One Funnel Away Challenge’ are available for free.
  • Very intuitive and easy to learn platform and they live up to the promise that ‘anyone can build and launch a funnel in under one hour’.

Dislike:

  • One of the more expensive software on this list, with its starting price at $97/month.
  • Limited to 20 funnels and 100 pages on the ‘Standard’ plan. I feel like a few more funnels couldn’t hurt.
  • Autoresponder and affiliate program hosting is only available on the ‘Platinum’ plan.
  • Some templates feel old and is in need of an update.
  • Backend functionality can at times have a steep learning curve.
  • No built in video hosting.

5. Swipe Pages

Create insanely fast mobile-responsive landing pages

Swipe pages landing page software homepage

Swipe Pages is exactly what it sounds like…

Swiping is something mostly done on mobile devices, and pages are simply landing pages.

So, it’s a landing page platform built for those who want to quickly and easily create landing pages focused first and foremost on the mobile experience.

Their focus is to make it easier for you to get results faster, so you can generate more leads, sales and get a higher ROI on your ad campaigns.

They do this by following three, what they call “mantras”:

  • Be agile
  • Be customer centric
  • Be driven by results

Since people on mobile devices typically are in a rush, or at least want quick answers, Swipe Pages work really hard on page loading speed.

Thanks to Accelerated Mobile Pages or AMP for short, they’ve been able to tap into the universe of lightning-fast landing pages.

In fact, their fast page loading speed is one of their most praised features.

So if you have a big audience who loves using mobile devices, Swipe Pages can help you create landing pages that feel very natural for that environment.

Key features:

  • AMP pages: Boost conversions with AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages). These pages are served from Google’s cache and are pre-loaded to provide an almost instant loading time.
  • Build app-like landing pages: Build landing pages that have a similar feel to apps. Add simple swipeable cards and offer your users a great app-like experience. Engage users with rich media and convert more ad clicks to customers.
  • Sell with one-click checkout: Connect your Stripe account and sell your products directly from your landing page. Offer a great checkout experience and convert more clicks to sales.
  • Personalized messaging: Need more conversions? Providing users with a personalized experience can 2x your conversions. And it’s all based on data.
  • Built-in analytics: See how your landing pages are performing using the built-in analytics tool. Here you can set conversion goals, track submissions and link clicks with ease.

Best Feature: AMP

One feature that I haven’t seen much in landing page software is AMP, or accelerated mobile pages.

Do others implement it, maybe, but Swipe Pages is the one of the few that tells you that they’re actually using it.

What is this anyway…?

AMP is an open source web framework developed by Google to boost page loading speed, which will lead to a better user experience.

These pages are served from Google’s cache which makes them load insanely fast compared to other solutions.

It’s easy to see which pages are using AMP pages in the Google search results, because they have a little flash symbol next to them.

But even without the flash symbol you’ll know when you encounter an AMP page, since it will load fast even on mobile devices.

And more speed means lower bounce rates and more opportunities for conversions.

BMW proved this when they migrated their website to AMP and saw a 4x increase in clickthrough rates.

Maybe this is why Google recommend AMP for landing pages or maybe it is because they love their own thing.

Whatever the case might be, keeping your page loading times low will retain more visitors.

Pricing:

Swipe pages pricing plans
  • Promotion: Free 14-day trial
  • Annual discount: Yes – Save up to 40%
  • Startup plan: $39/month or $29/month (billed annually)
  • Marketer plan: $89/month or $59/month (billed annually)
  • Agency plan: $199/month or $119/month (billed annually)

What I like and dislike with Swipe Pages

Like:

  • AMP – Fast loading speeds are very important in today’s market and a critical thing to reduce bounce rates.
  • Unlimited conversions and landing pages no matter what plan you choose.
  • Very simple and easy to use interface.
  • They put a lot of effort into mobile responsiveness and that is a critical thing if you want to market online today.

Dislike:

  • Smart pages, also known as the “app-like experience” are only available once you get on the ‘Marketer’ plan or higher.
  • Not that many integrations as standard, and chances are that you’re using an app that requires Zapier to integrate.
  • Only one custom domain on the ‘Startup’ plan, which can be a bit limiting if you have a lot of projects.
  • You can only add team members if you’re on the ‘Marketer’ plan.
  • Global blocks, which allows you to update sections in hundreds of landing pages at the same time with one click, is limited to the ‘Agency’ plan only.

6. Systeme.io

A simple, affordable, and intuitive all-in-one marketing platform

Systeme.io all-in-one business software

Systeme.io is an all-in-one business building platform that makes launching, growing, and scaling your business easier and faster.

Okay, here are the facts…

Many entrepreneurs are switching over to this platform because it replaces the need for multiple tools like funnel builders, email marketing, course creation, etc. and replaces it with one tool.

Their all-in-one platform allows you to set up your business in a way that is best suited to what you need. From websites and landing pages to email marketing and membership sites, whatever you might want to do, it’s only a few clicks away.

And as you might know, having everything gathered in one software is not only convenient, but it will also cut down your monthly expenses.

Another benefit is that there are less things that can go wrong.

Lots of external integrations also come with many potential failure points, something you don’t have to worry about when using an all-in-one solution.

Systeme.io:s goal is to provide you with a tool that has everything you need to run your business…for an insanely good price.

And they also want to ensure that you keep on running a successful business that’s driven towards moving your success story forward.

Even better is that the tool is available in 7 languages, so you’re no longer stuck with an English only platform .

Key features:

  • Build sales funnels and landing pages: The funnel builder is super simple and intuitive to use. It makes building both sales funnels and landing pages easy to build even if you don’t have any previous experience.
  • Run your own affiliate program: Build an army of affiliates to sell for you. Manage your affiliate links and payouts from one dashboard.
  • Automate your marketing: Save time and energy by automating the boring mundane tasks. Everything you need to make your business grow faster is only a few clicks away.
  • Send marketing emails: Your email list is always integrated into your sales funnels, landing pages, and websites, making it easy to send highly relevant emails to the right person, at the right time.
  • Create and sell online courses: Sell, manage and create online courses, plus you can host an unlimited number of students no matter what plan you choose. Also, easily control your membership sites and manage your students’ access all in one place.
  • Build your blog: Create high-converting content right on the platform and get more traffic to your offers.
  • Build websites: Easily create your website using the proven templates and simple interface.
  • Host evergreen webinar: Run evergreen webinars to grow your audience and generate more sales.
  • Sell digital and physical products: No matter if your product is physical or digital, sell it directly from the platform and process payments with either Stripe or PayPal.

Best Feature: The free plan

To me, one of the best features of Systeme.io is the free plan.

On a surface level this might not seem like a lot to shout for, but look closer…

Their free plan includes a variant of every feature their software has to offer.

So you’re no longer forced to buy a plan you might not want, just to test a few features.

Ask yourself how many others do that?

Sure some of the features on the free plan have a limited amount, like courses, which you only can build one of on the free plan.

But one course is enough for most in the beginning.

However if you look through the spec sheet, it’s still very generous with up to 2,000 contacts, unlimited emails, unlimited file storage, one custom domain, and more.

Which I feel like are more than enough to get you started building your business.

And not many free landing page software will give you all the tools to build an entire business on a “free” plan.

Pricing:

Systeme.io pricing plans
  • Promotion: No
  • Annual discount: Yes – Save 30%
  • Free plan: $0/month for life
  • Startup plan: $27/month or $228/year (billed annually)
  • Webinar plan: $47/month or $396/year (billed annually)
  • Unlimited plan: $97/month or $828/year (billed annually

What I like and dislike with Systeme.io

Like:

  • The free plan is very generous, more generous than most to be honest.
  • You get free migration of your existing business if you go for any of the annual plans or the ‘Unlimited’ plan.
  • It’s a very complete all-in-one business solution for a very affordable price, no matter what plan you choose. For example, their most expensive plan costs as much as the entry level plan ClickFunnels.
  • Very user friendly and easy to learn the platform. The templates also feel up-to-date.

Dislike:

  • All-in-one solutions are not always the best option for everyone, under some circumstances a tool that does only one thing can be better.
  • On the free plan you can build three sales funnels, but only add one order-bump or upsell: I think you should be able to add that to all three funnels.
  • Honestly, if you already have a business and want to join Systeme.io, I feel like you need at least the ‘Startup’ plan to have everything you need to keep on growing.

7. GetResponse

A simple yet powerful tool to send emails, create pages, and automate your marketing

GetResponse landing page software

GetResponse is one of the grandfathers of landing pages and marketing automation platforms. In fact, the domain was registered back in 1998, so they’ve been around for a while.

In fact, very few has this feature…

GetResponse paid ads creator helps you get in front of new audiences and grow your business without having to use each ad platform separately.

One of GetResponse best features are the paid ads creator

With it you can create targeted ad campaigns that’ll help you get in front of people who will love what you do. Resulting in more high-value leads subscribing to your lists, which boost the amount of potential customers you get.

What I like and dislike with GetResponse

Like:

  • Many years in the game has resulted in a very thought out and powerful platform.
  • The platform is available in 26 languages and the support is available in eight.
  • creating and managing ads campaigns directly inside the platform is a really nice feature if you’re looking to grow your brand using paid ads.
  • Has an AI powered website builders, which not so many others has.
  • The drag-and-drop editor makes it easy to build landing pages that is super responsive on all devices.
  • Over 200 landing page templates.

Dislike:

  • To get full use out of the landing pages feature and GetResponse in general, I feel like you need to step up to one of the paid plan.
  • If you have a team with more than three members and you want everyone to have access, you need the ‘Ecommerce Marketing’ plan.

8. Instapage

One of the world’s most advanced landing page software

Instapage is one of the most advanced landing page software

Instapage has from day one been focused on helping teams and agencies lower the cost of customer acquisition while increasing conversion rates.

To achieve this, they started by helping their customers by providing them with a solution for creating beautiful landing pages quickly.

And it obviously worked out pretty well since they have over 3 million landing pages built using their platform.

At Instapage you have something called Advertising Conversion Cloud™, which is a industry-first…

This enables you to create optimized, and personalized landing pages at scale, in minutes rather than hours, without having to hire expensive developers.

Their goal is to help you automate the entire post-click conversion process, and they like to imagine a world where creating end-to-end conversion campaigns can be done with just a click of a button.

Key features:

  • Landing pages: Build landing pages that matches the message of your ad campaign with the use of conversion focused layouts.
  • Personalization: Dynamically deliver the right experience to the right audience and identify high-performing target segments by tracking metrics at the audience level.
  • Experimentation: Optimize your landing pages for higher conversion rates with detailed heatmaps, A/B testing, and robust analytics.
  • AdMap: Increase your relevancy and lower your CPC by visualizing your ad campaigns and effortlessly connect ads to relevant post-click landing pages all in one place.
  • Collaboration: Speed up the review process and simplify your team’s workflow with instant feedback, real-time edits, and secure sharing with outside stakeholders.
  • Page speed: Thanks to AMP and Thor Render Engine, you don’t have to worry about slow loading speeds.

Best Feature: AdMap

With AdMap you can automatically import your ad account structure into your Instapage account.

From there you can then visualize your campaign and map ads to personalized landing pages.

Instapage admap feature makes it easy to manage campaings

Then, when you’re making updates to landing pages or ads, you don’t have to jump back and forth between the ad platform and Instapage thanks to the two-way synchronization.

This way you know that the data you’re viewing is always up-to-date.

The benefit of using mapping is that you can manage campaigns more efficiently by having both ads and the corresponding landing pages visualized all in one place.

This gives you more clarity and it also makes it easier for you to see where campaigns need personalized content.

All of this results in increased conversion rates and decreased cost-per-acquisition (CPA), thanks you you being able to improve the 1:1 ad-to-page personalization ratio.

So AdMap is a powerful and useful tool if you want to maximize your paid ads campaigns.

Pricing:

Instapage pricing plans
  • Promotion: Free 14-day trial
  • Annual discount: Yes – Save 25%
  • Building plan: $199/month or $149/month (billed annually)
  • Converting plan: Price based on what you need

What I like and dislike with Instapage

Like:

  • It has AMP (just like Swipe Pages), but it also uses Thor Render Engine to improve page loading speed.
  • Very potent platform if you’re working with ads and want to incorporate landing pages.
  • Lots of integrations, which will make it easier for you to incorporate Instapage into your current business.
  • The real time visual collaboration feature makes it easy to work with your team to get things done faster.
  • Has over 500 built in layouts and everyone has been tested for conversions. This makes it really easy to build a good landing page.

Dislike:

  • It’s expensive, the prices start at $199/month and that is considerably more than the others on this list.
  • Only two plans, either you go with the ‘Building’ plan and use what you get in features, or you need to get a ‘Converting’ plan and specify what you need.
  • Things like heatmaps, multi-step forms, and guaranteed uptime-converting SLA is only available on a ‘Converting’ plan.

The Benefits Of Using a Dedicated Landing Page Software?

With a dedicated landing page builder software, you can now only create landing pages faster and easier, compared to a regular page builder.

You also get the added benefit of knowing that these software are designed for helping you convert more visitors to leads.

Providing you with the tools necessary, as well as battle-tested templates, to help you achieve your goals.

So it’s easy to think that the benefits end there…

But that’s not the case, here are some more of the benefits you get when you switch to a dedicated landing page software:

A/B split testing

One of the key elements to a good landing page is A/B testing.

Because without it, it would take much, much longer to figure out what page design and copy generates the most conversions.

With A/B testing capabilities you can test your original landing page versus a slightly altered duplicate and see which performs better.

This way you can test and tweak every little parameter on your landing page until the highest conversion rates are reached.

Thanks to this type of testing, you can easily increase your conversion rates, and that’s never a bad thing…right?

This is why I always recommend funnel and landing page builders like yourself to have a split-test running in the background.

Not only will this speed up the process of finding the best converting copy, color scheme and layout.

But you can also quickly adapt to market changes and test new ideas without losing your original work.

The great thing is that almost all landing page software on the market today has an A/B testing feature.

So now you don’t have to spend any extra money on a specific tool just for A/B testing and monitoring.

Here’s an example from systeme.io:

A/B testing landing pages with Systeme.io software

Their A/B testing feature allows you to test your original landing pages against a variation of it, to see which performs the best.

And you can easily see which one is converting the best thanks to the data box circled in red.

Ease of use

Alright we’ve already talked about this topic a bit earlier, but I feel like this is worth explaining a bit better.

Because how easy something is to work with also determines how efficient you can work, and how much time you want to spend in the software.

If it’s incredibly hard to work with, I bet that you won’t feel excited about logging in and trying to get some work done.

Luckily for you, all landing page builders on this list are easy to become friends with.

Just like top notch website builders allow you to create outstanding websites with ease, the landing page software does the same thing. But instead of websites it helps you create first-class landing pages.

And all of the software on this list has the same core concept…

Anyone should be able to create a landing page, no matter experience level.

This means that even the newest of beginners can get started with landing pages in the matters of hours.

For example, almost all landing page software comes with intuitive drag-and-drop editors, which makes creation a breeze. Just drag the thing you want to add from the toolbox to where you want to add it, and let go – boom, you just added a text block, nice.

But that’s not all…

Almost all landing page software on this list provides you with a variety of fully customizable templates.

Take Leadpages for example, here are some of their features that makes it easier for you to build landing pages:

Leadpages has exclusive features that help you build landing pages

Battle-tested templates

All high converting landing pages have one thing in common…

They have a visually appealing design, are creative, and they’re most of the time designed around a base template.

This not only saves time, but it makes the build process much easier, since everything doesn’t have to be created from scratch (unless you want to).

So, any high-quality landing page builder should provide you with templates.

Luckily for you, almost all landing page software on this list comes with pre-designed templates that fit tons of niches.

One of the best parts is that these templates have most of the time been battle-tested in the field by the company itself.

This means that you know that the templates they provide you with have been proven to convert.

Some more good news is that these templates are oftentimes fully customizable, so you can build the perfect landing page for your needs.

Combining the easy to use drag-and-drop builders and solid templates, results in you having everything you need to create a personalized landing page that has the potential to convert really well.

As you probably can understand by now, a landing page builder is designed to help you create stunning pages that properly display your offer and put your business in the spotlight, just like you imagined it.

As you can see here, ActiveCampaign provides you with lots of professional looking templates for all kinds of purposes.

ActiveCampaign provides you with many beautiful landing page templates

Publishing options and subdomains

Almost all of the landing page software on this list offers flexible publishing options, which might not sound like a big benefit, but it is.

Also, you most of the time get access to customizable subdomains, although this often requires you to get on the slightly more expensive plans.

But subdomains still offer an added benefit when you’re building landing pages, so it could be worth checking out.

With a customizable subdomain you can assign your landing pages with a URL that is related to your offer while still separated from your root domain.

This gives you the added benefit of adding more context to your landing page right in the URL, making it even easier for your visitors to know what your page is about.

Another benefit of this kind of flexible publishing option is that it can help you get a better quality score when running Google Ads for example.

In my own experience, I’ve seen an increase in quality score when I’ve been using highly relevant URL:s (subdomains) for my landing pages.

Simply because it makes it easier for Google to understand what your page is about, without actually having to visit it.

Is it a massive gain…no, but it still counts , right?

Having flexible publishing options makes it easier for your visitors to understand what your page is about and it can also reward you with lower ad cost if you’re running PPC.

Take GetResponse for example, they offer you very flexible publishing options:

GetResponse allows for a lot of flexibility when publishing landing pages

They allow you to publish your landing pages under any domain name you’d like, use subdomains to further categorize your landing pages, and you always have the alternative to use your existing domain name.

GetResponse also gives you an SSL certificate on all plans, so you know that your domain is protected.

Integrations

Marketers like you and me create landing pages for a reason. We have a goal we want to achieve.

I don’t know about you, but my goals typically falls under one of these three categories:

  • Generate leads
  • Get people to register for my newsletter
  • Generate more sales

Sure this list can go on forever, and you probably have your own goals that you want to achieve.

However, I know for certain that achieving these goals, no matter what they are, requires tools and software.

You probably need an email marketing tool, maybe a webinar platform, a landing page builder, SEO tools, etc.

Yes, there are landing page builders on this list that offer all-in-on business solutions, but to not limit yourself to any kind of landing page software, integrations are an important part.

And all landing page builders know this, and most have a pretty big list of integrations they support.

For some entrepreneurs this is very important, due to the fact that you might already have a business to which you want to incorporate landing pages.

So, you need to know that the software you’re planning on choosing supports the tools you’re already using.

And when they do, adding a landing page software to your business becomes much, much easier.

ClickFunnels is one of the leading sales funnels and landing page builders on the market, they offer 38 different integrations by default, from autoresponders, to shipping and payment processing.

ClickFunnels integrates with many 3rd party software

All 38 of their integrations can be found here.

But ClickFunnels isn’t the only one providing tons of integrations, I’d say 99% of the landing page builders in this list offer a solid integration list.

How To Choose a Landing Page Software

As you probably can understand by now, there are a lot of things to consider when choosing a landing page software.

And what you choose must also fit in with your business, skill level, and goals.

Because the software that is right for me isn’t necessarily right for you.

Now I already mentioned some of the key aspects that makes up a good landing page Software:

  • Good templates
  • Drag-and-drop editors
  • A/B split testing
  • Integrations

But there are more things that are important than just those four, so here’s a list of the rest of the things you should look for in a landing page builder.

1. How many pages do you need

The first thing I always try to pin point is how many landing pages I need at the moment.

Yes…this is something that is hard to determine since you always have new ideas you want to try and since your business always is evolving.

But to start somewhere, you need to try to estimate a page number.

Is it 2, 5, 246…?

The number of landing pages you need directly correlates to the price of any given subscription plan.

If you only need two, it’s better to choose a lower tiered plan and save yourself some money, rather than going for the big plan right away.

It’s much easier to grow into the next tier, that way your landing page platform can grow with you as your business expands.

Keeping costs to a minimum, while still getting everything you need at the moment.

And if you need many landing pages, say 346, you need to ensure that the software you want allows you to create that many pages.

However, most of the time you get unlimited landing pages in the higher tiers, but it also comes at a price.

Higher tiers are always more expensive than lower tiers, nothing weird there.

But if you need 346 landing pages, chances are that you know what you’re doing and also need the features that come with a higher priced plan.

2. Mobile responsiveness

In today’s day and age where mobile traffic stands for a big part of the overall traffic on the world-wide-web, it’s a must to optimize for it.

Honestly, this is probably the most important piece of information you need if you want to start working with landing pages.

If you don’t optimize your pages for mobile traffic, you’re going to miss out on so much traffic you won’t believe it.

The worst part is that search engines know about this stuff, meaning that you can’t hide from it.

So a page only optimized for desktop usage, will not perform as well, and rank as well as a page that is optimized for all devices.

Therefore it’s essential that the landing page software you choose supports mobile optimization.

Luckily for you, all of the software on this list supports mobile optimization.

The only difference between them is how they go about doing it.

Take Elementor for example, when building landing pages with them, you can easily switch between devices by using the ‘responsive mode’.

With a click of a button you can switch between desktop, tablets, and phones.

This gives you the opportunity to adjust everything on your page so it looks good no matter what device your visitor is on.

The biggest challenge is to remember to actually do it…ask me how I know ;).

3. Analytics

Probably one of the more important features a landing page software can have is good analytics features.

And even more important is how the analytics data is presented to you.

Because if you can’t understand the data provided, how can you make any improvements?

All the builders on this list have some sort of analytics feature that provides you with data…

Some are very advanced, others are a bit simpler, but they all have this feature.

To put it simply, if you want to build landing pages that perform well, you need good analytics features.

Honestly, DATA IS KING, and data will tell you the raw, cold truth no matter what. It also gives you a deeper understanding of your landing pages, and their performance.

This is why you need a platform that provides you with good, solid data and analytics, which you also can understand.

And if good data is provided to you, you can easily create optimization strategies based on actual facts, not just hopes and dreams.

Like I mentioned earlier, things like A/B split testing is 100% based on data and analytics provided by the landing page software.

Just look at Instapage, their analytics data game is solid, and could not be easier to understand.

Instapage landing page software has a powerful yet simple analytics tool

4. White-label functionality

Although white-labeling isn’t a life critical thing for choosing a landing page software.

It is a nice thing to have access to under some circumstances.

First of all, if you don’t know what white-labeling is, it’s when you can remove the company’s branding and add your own.

Typically, most landing page builders have this function once you get into the more expensive tiers.

And if you want to add pages to your site, or are working on many projects, it’s nice to be able to add your own branding.

This makes all your pages look more congruent and suited to whatever you’re working on.

The second reason is if you’re building landing pages for customers’.

Then white-labeling is a very important part of your business.

Ensuring that you can add the customer’s branding to the landing pages you build for them is a must.

Because, if a client pays you money to have you build them a landing page, it’s safe to say that they want their own branding added to it.

White-labeling your pages also makes your brand look more professional, and that’s never a bad thing in my book.

However, If you’re only building landing pages for your own business, white-labeling isn’t crucial.

But having it will add a nice “high quality” touch to your pages.

5. Team access

As a business owner, it’s not uncommon to have a few team members.

And building landing pages, especially if you’re building many, can take up a great big chunk of your time.

So, if you don’t want to do all the work yourself, why not ask your team-mates for help.

But this will require you to get a landing page builder that allows team access.

With this feature you can distribute the work between your team-mates, which will help you get work done faster.

Sure this feature might not be the deciding factor for a solopreneur.

But, if you have a team bigger than yourself, and you want multiple people in your team to be able to build landing pages, this could be worth paying attention to.

As you probably saw in this list, team access isn’t available in every landing page builder.

And if it’s available, typically you’ll need to get on the more expensive tiers to get access to it.

So the deciding factor for what software to choose will come down to three things:

  • Are you a solopreneur?
  • Do you have a small team?
  • Do you have a big team?

The solopreneur doesn’t really have to care much about team access. Because a team of one isn’t that big of a team to start with.

However, if you have a team…

The size of that team will play a big role in what software you can choose.

A smaller team, with under five members, can still get away with the lower, less expensive plans to get the job done.

But if you have more than 5 members, you’ll have to look into the more expensive plans to find a suitable alternative.

What’s The Best Landing Page Builders For WordPress?

Many entrepreneurs, myself included, use WordPress to build their websites.

Naturally, it would be nice if you could keep on using WordPress to create your landing pages as well.

Luckily for you, this is 100% doable, since there are both software and plugins that support this.

So if you want to use WordPress to build your landing pages, the guide to the best plugins can be found right here…

What’s The Best Free Landing Page Software?

I get it, sometimes the last thing you want to do is open your wallet and pay a bunch of money for a software.

Sure, most landing page builders have a free trial period, but how many lets you build pages for free.

Honestly, there aren’t many landing page software that offers a free-for-life plan that is actually useful…

The requirement for a free-for-life plan to be of any use, is that you can build pages and grow your lists pretty much unlimited.

If there are too many limitations the whole “free plan” fails, and you’ll have to get on a paid plan anyway.

However, there are two software on this list that meet every expectation I have for a free-for-life plan. These allow you to create a solid foundation for your business, while not being far to limited in what you can and can’t do:

What’s The Best Landing Page Software For Beginners?

For a landing page software to be beginner friendly, it obviously needs to be easy to use and easy to understand.

The fact is that not all landing page builders are created equally, some are advanced and some are simple.

And choosing the most advanced software as a beginner can come with a risk…

The risk of you being too overwhelmed with how to do things, resulting in you not feeling like it was a good investment.

Hence why a beginner should look for a simple to use, yet powerful software.

Currently, there are two page builder that I feel fit that description and are perfect for the beginner page builder:

Landing Page Software That Supports AI

Alright, so the future is here and there is no stopping it. AI is the new thing in the tech market.

Naturally, some landing page builders has noticed this increase in AI tech and have decided to incorporate it into their software.

Right now, on this list, there aren’t that many landing page software that supports AI…

But I’m sure that this list will grow as time progresses and it becomes easier for software developers to add AI to its platforms.

The good thing about using AI is that it can help you generate pages and content faster.

However, the downside is that I feel like we aren’t there yet when it comes to generating truly original content. The human brain is still way more capable at that.

But AI can most certainly lay the foundation.

So if you want to create landing pages using AI, you’re current options are:
