Today I’m going to show you exactly how to delete a funnel in ClickFunnels.
In fact, this is the same process I use to free up space and remove unused funnels inside my own account.
And the best part…
I’m going to show you how to restore a deleted funnel in case you change your mind and want it back.
Let’s dive right in.
Why Delete a Funnel?
I would guess that you (who are reading this) already know why you want to delete a funnel from your funnel collection inside ClickFunnels.
But on the off chance that you don’t know why, I’ll go ahead and tell you the two most common reasons for deleting a funnel.
Reason no.1
You are on ClickFunnels $97/month subscription plan. This plan only allows you to have 20 active funnels compared to the Platinum and 2CCX plans which supports a unlimited amount of funnels.
And reaching that 20 funnel limit is not hard at all. You can easily fill those spots with share funnels in no time. (I think I have gathered upwards of 70 shared funnels over the years).
This is a problem, because now you don’t have any room from you own funnels. And even if you have 20 funnels of your own and want to build another one, well…you can’t because of limitations.
So now you need to delete (or archive to be precise) some of your funnels. Preferably the bad preforming once.
Reason no.2
You downloaded a funnel and changed your mind, or got a share funnel that was no good, or have old funnels you no longer use.
What ever the reson might be, you don’t want that funnel anymore.
Some archive funnels that they no longer use to have a clean list of the funnels that are active (or under development).
Others, like me, build a lot of funnels to test different things that my or may not work. If it didn’t work, delete it and start over.
I think you get the point, don’t keep things around that you no longer use, even if you are on a unlimited funnels plan.
I know it feels good to see that you have a lot of funnels in your account. But wouldn’t it feel better if they were fewer and of high quality?
Archive a Funnel in ClickFunnels
Alright, you are absolutely sure you want to delete one of your funnels.
Here’s how:
Login to your ClickFunnels account and head over to your Funnel list.
From there, find the funnel you want to delete and click on it.
Now, click on Settings and scroll down to the bottom.
There you will find a button that says Archive Funnel.
Click on it and the funnel will be placed que to be archived.
Once the funnel is archived it will disappear from the All Funnels tab.
Delete a Funnel Step in ClickFunnels
We can also delete a single funnel step from our funnel. This can come in handy if you accidently added a step or made a new better one to replace it.
Note: This is not the same as the Remove From Funnel action, this will delete the step entirely including the split tests.
And here’s how you do it:
From your dashboard, go to your funnel list and select the funnel you want to work with.
Once inside the funnel, select the step you want to remove.
Look in the right corner and you’ll find a button called Delete Funnel Step. You can also do this by clicking on the X next to the funnel step name. (The X will light up in read when you hover over it).
Click on either of these buttons to delete the step.
Restore an Archived Funnel
Sometimes we make mistakes, we do things without thinking. And what do you know, you deleted a funnel by mistake.
No need to worry, because you can easily fix it by restoring your funnel.
And if you wonder if there is a time limit for restoring a funnel, well…I don’t really know if there is any time limit at all. I’ve had funnels archived years ago and I can still restore them.
Anyway, here is how you do it:
From your dashboard, click on Funnels to display all your funnels.
Now click on Archived. This will take you to all your archived funnels.
Find the funnel you want to restore and click on Unarchive.
The funnel will now be placed in the unarchive que and will appear in your funnel list once it’s done.
Restore a Deleted Funnel Step
There you are burning the midnight oil, working on your next grate funnel. In the middle of the night you have the bright idea to delete a funnel step you’ve worked on for hours.
Because we all know that the best ideas comes at 2:45 in the morning…right?.
Then you wake up the next morning only to realize that deleting that step was a horrible mistake and now you want it back.
There is a solution for that too.
From your dashboard, go to your funnel list.
Find the funnel you deleted the step in and click on it.
Once inside the funnel, click on Settings and scroll down to the bottom.
At the bottom you’ll find a blue text saying View Archived Funnel Steps. Click on it.
This will open up a menu that displays all your archived funnel steps since the funnel was created.
Find the step you want back and click on Restore.
Now you’ll see that the step is back in the funnel.
